I fell head over heels in love with the majestic oaks covered in Spanish moss and the gorgeous magnolias that were still in full bloom. If it had been warmer those days I would have enjoyed my dad's salt water pool.
My parents live in Jacksonville and I went to college in St. Augustine. I'm now in DC and dream about the magnolias and the moss. I miss the South. Glad you had a great time!
I lived in Ocala as a child! Even though I still live in the south, I'm not deep enough to have the live oaks. I miss them!! Such fond memories of climbing...
I remember those oaks when we visited Florida, I think they are a bit spooky....Love the woodpecker, looks like his head is lit up, what an amazing colour. Little spoggy in the tree too, ahw cute.
nice to see your beautiful images..for a lover of beautiful mother nature 3-4 months of rain can sometimes be hard to take up here in Beautiful BC Canada
I live near there (I see someone else here is from Gainesville). What a small world this is sometimes - I am a HUGE fan of yours. I own several of your prints, books that have your covers or other illustrations, and was fortunate enough to be able to buy one of your miniature bird books last year. Thank you for making such beautiful things - and I still can't believe you were so close!
Hey thats near where I grew up! I'm glad to hear you liked it.
I have always dreamed of a salt water pool! How charming. Florida really is lovely. I'm proud to live here!
