I'm back home after a lovely visit with my dad & his beautiful wife Lizbeth. I'm glad I took my camera so I could take photos of my dad's wonderful artwork. The bird is a tribute to a beloved pet cockatiel he used to have.
It's beautiful, just like your work. I certainly see some resemblances, especially the colors he put together in the third picture. No coincidence I think! PS My name is Lizbeth too :-)
These are absolutely wonderful. Thank you both so much for sharing. I'd also love to know what medium he uses. I'm envious of his clean controlled lines....not sure I could accomplish those in any medium :-)
I can see a touch of the Mondrians going on in these, lovely. I'm not usually an abstract person, but when I saw the huge Mondrian(Piet)in the National Gallery (London) I was so arrested by it, I just sat and stared, very tranquil and calming I felt.
Amazing, I didn't know your father was an artist too. His work is great! it would be fun to see his bird next to one of yours. Both wonderful yet such different styles.
I really love his line work. I'm so happy you took the time to share his art with the world! It's cool to see what you took from him and incorporated with your own art. Have a beautiful weekend!
He really have an artistic side. You really have good genes, I'm also into drawings and arts, I also Love arts as well. Your Dad's work is really great. You must also be great. keep it up. You and your dad will be known someday. You can also visit my site to read some news and updates about Aiping Wangs http://www.aipingwang.net

How cool! I got shivers looking at these and I'm not usually an abstract person. I can see a family connection too, as Liz said.
Looks like artistic talent runs in your family... Such lovely and measured images.

So contemporary and graphic, quite a contrast to your art (which is my style) but beautiful work all the same. My fav is the last one of the bird!

What medium does your father work in(hard to tell from the photos)? Really great work.
This is absolutely fantastic! I love the simple yet complex forms on the cockatiel - just stunning.

Whoa took me a minute to decide which one was the bird.....i really need to think more abstractly.....Hugs! deb
Very interesting stuff!
Reminds me a bit of Bridget Riley's work and I love the bird picture!

The cubes remind me of the work of M. C. Escher, a Dutch graphic artist, 1898 - 1972.
it has such a mid century modern vibe to it
I love it all

I think you inherited your wonderful sense of color & design from your dad.
I love all of the precision and movement in your father's work.
Amazing, I didn't know your father was an artist too. His work is great! it would be fun to see his bird next to one of yours. Both wonderful yet such different styles.
I love how simple they look yet you can see that he had to spend quite some time drawing the lines inside some of the shapes.
I really like the second one with the cut up circle!
I love this kind of art! Wow, the branch didn't fall far from the tree girl!
And he likes birds too!! Beautiful art, congrats for this artistic family!
