Hi Geninne, I have been following your blog for quite some time now and love the way you live your life. You have created a home with so much of your love that it reflects everywhere. Ofcourse you have a God given gift and talent of being artistic, but you have used that talent to bring peace and serenity in everyday of your life which is so evident thru your writing, photographs, corners of your home, the way you talk so lovingly about your husband and kids.
Your blog is a daily inspiration to me. I have no talent in art but being inspired by you, would like to start something simple. May be painting on stone ? is there any way you could show it step by step, or do a post on it so that we can try our hands? The tools you used for this, from where you bought the stones, are we supposed to wash the stones first, how do we draw/copy a picture on it and then modify it, the step after that? I know you have some information about it in bits and pieces when you painted on those stones but a detailed post if you have the time would be nice.
I have been away from my favorite blogs and just got caught up with yours...Yes - I saved the best for last. I love your home, your pictures, your talent....never tire of looking at everything you share. thank you
Lovely home and beautiful artwork. It matches Turbo's colors, too. :)
I love the simplicity and details in graphite drawings. Shaun Tan's graphic novel The Arrival always takes my breath away. The whole book is amazing pencil drawings with no words. Here is a sample of the drawings. ¡Saludos!
I live in Vancouver, Canada, but a visit to friends happened to coincide with your show at bookhou and so I got to see your originals - how gorgeous! I felt very lucky to get to see Winged Migration - too bad I won't get to see you when you go. I bought a print for myself and one for my friend who first put me on to your blog - she sews a lot so I got her the adorable bird at the sewing machine!
I love to follow your inspiring blog. Thank you for sharing!
It's also great to see photos of your gorgeous home and of course of Turbo. He had to be one of the cutest dogs on earth. I really enjoy Becca's work, but I think you've picked a particularly nice image. I hadn't seen that one before. It looks just right in your house!
Turbo is such a great dog. My girl Kate isn't so well behaved - she enjoys exploring and "sampling" anything nature related she can get to (nests, antlers, egg shards, pretty books, etc.) and that dog can jump. You have such a lovely home, thank you for sharing your beautiful spaces.
