I bought a BIG stretched canvas (huge compared to my little watercolors!),
new brushes & acrylic paints. I'm excited to get started.
The canvas is 1 x 1 meter (aprox. 3 x 3 feet) and the finished painting
will go up on our newly painted red hallway wall.

Oooh always exciting to start on something new, discovering what works etc. I don't normally use acrylics either, but I am tempted, as they are quite forgiving and allow you to work over things. Look forward to seeing what you produce!
I am sure you will amaze us with acrylic as you do with watercolor :)

I hope you have so much fun with this! Acrylics are one of my favorite media to work with. If you don't like something you just paint over it. Have you decided on the composition yet?

Oh, have fun! You can get some fabulous watercolor-like effects with acrylics if you want to start with the familiar. And the colors. And the quick dry time. Yay!

I have a 16 inch by 40 inch canvas that I am going to paint to put above our bed. Some kind of poppies probably.
