New Toy!
I have a new toy! I thought it was about time I upgraded
from my point & shoot got a real DSLR camera. I'm having so much fun with it.

What kind did you get? I would be lost without mine, even if it is a well-used, elderly Nikon D70.
I can't believe I went for so long with the Point & Shoot. I got a Canon Rebel T2i.

Congrats on the camera and the book! I just bought my first DSLR last week and I'm having a great time with it...last weekend the zoo, this weekend the desert for wildflower photos! Can't wait to see all the things you'll do with your new toy :)

I always assumed you had a DSLR already! Such beautiful pictrues always.
Looking at your previous pics I can't believe they were point'n'shoot! Did you find the SLR a bit scary? I got one last week, and found it slightly dauntig at first! Practising with it is fun though!

Great macrophotography, especially the cactus leaves and the stone knittings, did you do those as well? They remind me of sand dollars on the shoreline, very natural and organic beauties you got there.
