It looks wonderful but mostly I'm impressed by the subject: haven't seen many relationships pictured between birds and fishes before, if any. Beautiful!
Hello! Wonderful idea those vinyl flowers - they look really nice in the window! And your latest painting is adorable - nice thought and beautiful work!
Aloha from Hawaii! I am a long time follower of your blog and admirer of your art! I wanted you to know that I have included a few of your images on my "pinterest!" boards. They are located here if you care to take a look. http://pinterest.com/trishn/ Also, I have been asking a few artists I admire to share their process for creating prints of original works. Would you mind telling me how you do yours? Do you send it to a local printer or do you print them at home on your own? Do you have a specific printer you use? I am exploring options for printing some of my art work and appreciate any input you may have. Blessings to you! Mahalo nui loa!
so do you think swimming beats flying...? yes you see the world with different eyes.....mmmmm pity we cant swop places....so where are you going next ? i dont know maybe Cape Town...We all love it Genine....the beginning of a story i hope..
Of course this is totally YOUR style. But fish/bird + day/night (dark above, light below - genius) makes me think of Escher http://poisson.phc.unipi.it/~fidanza/
Now this reminds me of a French song by Juliette Gréco! It talks about a fish and a bird fondly in love but how could they really meet? There's a link to the song: http://www.deezer.com/listen-927924
Soooo glad that everything's fixed with your wonderful blog.
I must have this print if you put it in your shop. I have three beautiful biracial children, but some of the elder relatives in my family were not as accepting as I would have hoped when I married out of my race. My grandmother once said to me..."A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest." I would like to think we have built a very strong nest.
The fish and the bird who fall in love will find no place to build a home in, The fish and the bird who fall in love are bound forever to go roaming...
That's totally adorable!
Oh wow!!! This is the most gorgeous one so far! What size is it? And will it be in your Etsy shop?
Oh wait, size is right there. Duh!
So cute! The bird looked in the water and said; hello fishie. :-)
Geninne, I love the map overlay. Pure genius!
so is the acrylic ink the white detailing? Or is that gouache {sp?}
You are so inspiring.
