A Banner & A Pillow

Resurrection Fern blog banner
I designed a banner for my dear friend Margie's blog
from some of these elements that I painted inspired by her gorgeous photographs.
You can go check out how the banner looks at her lovely blog by clicking here.
Envelop pillow design
I finally got around to designing a product at Envelop. I plan to design many more.
In the mean time this bird pillow is now available for purchase!

Unconventional Canvas

Unconventional Canvas
I plan to paint several birds on the walls scattered around the house.
I thought would be fun for my guests to find all of them...like a treasure hunt :)
On the Wall
This is the first one. I'll show you the process...

My work was featured in a really beautiful Chinese magazine called LOHAS.
I really loved how they designed the layout and the photos they chose to show.
Now if I could only read Chinese!
If YOU can, read more here and tell me about it!
The exquisite porcelain "shells" on our table
were made by the very talented Paula Valentim of Otchipotchi.

The Culprit!

The Culprit!
This my friends, is the reason no art has been made in the past few weeks!
This is the state of my beautiful studio at the moment.
But things will change in the next couple of days & I can't wait to show you
what it will look like when I'm done sorting through all this mess :)

Kitchen & Dining

Kitchen
The niche at the end will have a custom wood cabinet. The wood is called Tzalam.
In the mean time I put one of our wire shelves so I could put the microwave there.
Dining
I still can't believe we're living in here already.
It's only 5 1/2 months ago that Manolo started building our home.
He made the light a priority throughout the house.
The sun filters in through the living room windows in the morning
and through the kitchen windows in the afternoon.
He designed all of the woodwork & furniture as well (including the bar stools).

Hello again!

Spoons
When I unpacked all my wooden spoons it seemed they deserved a snapshot.
They're in dire need of some TLC so I want to make some of this wonderful spoon oil that Stephanie wrote about at 3191.
Tiny sneak peek....
Here's a tiny sneak peek of our beautiful home.
It's a wood molded bare concrete wall in our living room.
And bellow is a gorgeous lot of seaweed prints from my favorite Etsy vintage shop: Trampoline

Whew! We're so happy to be home!
Still lots of boxes to unpack & work to be done but it's SO worth it!
I'm thrilled to be back and sharing with all of you...
It might be a couple of weeks more before I have my studio up and running.
We are currently using it as storage for all the unpacked boxes!
