that grow on the tree trunks are called epiphytes.

it is so hard not to just jump on a plane
Epiphites are a very interesting family....check them out on Google. Beautiful photos, love the lichens too. I have been to Mexico, from Mexico City all the way to the border of Guatamala, both coasts...lots of beautiful birds (I'm an avid birder), I added 356 new species to my life list...the heat and humidity nearly killed me but the birds were so incredible it was worth the trip just to see them.
wow those leaves are incredible. What an inspiring spot you live in!
I'm "green with envy"... It's beautiful!
So much vibrant life and gorgeous texture. Sure to inspire I'm sure!

I love lush greens and ferns.
That view of the last picture in the Sunset post is simply gorgeous! What city is this? I think your showing landscapes most people don't associate with Mexico. At lease I would have never imagined.
gorgeous. Those leaves are stunning. epiphytes include many mosses (Spaninsh moss), lichens, orchids, bromeliads and some cactus as well. Very intriguing species of plants
Wow, stunning photos to look at, these are different variates of moss and plants.
This is common in a virgin forest that people visit not often. These living things needs another living things to make. These belongs to the plants family. It's like a wild orchids.
