Our surroundings are so lush, green and soft. I'm keeping an eye out for the many woodpeckers that live in this area, but spotting birds with so many leaves on the trees is a bit trickier than in the desert :-)
I love these photos and your beautiful forest, but what I love even more is the way you embrace change and always look for the beauty in everything. It's not just your images that are inspiring :)
I agree, you're family is so inspiring. Just moving from place to place and leaving a gorgeous home and beautiful artwork behind for someone to enjoy every step of the way. A life well lived.
love this forest
So beautiful. And that bird would be lovely to paint. ;)
what a contrast from the dessert
the pictures on your blog just blow me away! Amazingly prolific artist/photgrapher. Keep up the good work!
Love the picture with the woodpecker :-)
gasp! such foresty gorgeousness. how exciting to see your new surroundings through your eyes
Our California woodpeckers are not half so cute. :)
Haha, I wondered wether the leaves on the second photo were real or made by you. I'm still not sure ;)

It's amazing how Mexico has a variety of climates...it's similar to Brasil. I'd love to visit Mexico someday!
Such a change from the golden desert of before, but wow - to experience both worlds in such a short time period must be a blast.
Gorgeous pics Gennine!
That's my favorite line from a poem ever.

My first thought is "What are those trees? Juniper of some type?" Then I tried to smell them. Ha! Tell us what they smell like. :)
Huge fan of your blog for years now! Thank you for bringing us such joy from your life.
This looks like a dream! You must be so incredibly happy to have this for yourself. What a peaceful environment...
