Crafting for Courage

Bird ornamentsMargie and a small group of friends organized Crafting for Courage so I made these little ornaments to join this effort to raise money for Save the Children and their work with the littlest ones in the devastated areas of northeastern Japan.
They will be available for purchase at my Big Cartel shop tomorrow morning.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to Save the Children.
Find out other ways to help with this effort at this link.

Geninne,
How are these done? It doesn't look as though you painted directly onto the muslin, are they computer printed and then embroidered? I LOVE them. I want to do something similar. Your birds have long inspired me to draw and paint. I love to embroider and think this the the perfect balance of both.

Simply beautiful! I cannot believe for the life of me where you get all the energy AND the time to do these projects! I have a couple of boys like you (8 and 10) and by the time night comes I have just enough energy to sit on the couch and watch a half hour show! Good on you!
