I woke up early this Sunday morning with an uncontrollable urge to paint. This collage was inspired by a recent feathered visitor at the blue house that let me get unusually close to snap some photos :)
Are you working in your upstairs studio already? Your sparrow collage is wonderful.
Thank you yet again for opening your home and life to us this past week. It was an experience I'll never forget and I feel so fortunate to have met and learned from you. I'll be posting my thoughts and photos from Queretaro as soon as my head clears from all the traveling.
Love this post, both the photos and your art work :) Sparrows are such sweet little birds, I love them even though they're considered a bit of a nuisance in many places! In Paris last year my husband & I ate hotdogs together in one of the beautiful parks and a sweet little sparrow spied on us the whole time. Your photos reminded me of that lovely day, thanks for bringing back that sweet memory!
Love this little bird, however, this is not a House Sparrow. This little darling is a Chipping Sparrow (Spizella passerina), note the rufous cap & dark eye-line, dark lores, clear gray breast/belly, making this a first winter bird. I'm an avid birder, so love to identify birds.
Geninne, I LOVE your work! A link to your blog is permanently on my browser bar and I look in on you daily! Your work is such an inspiration...and I hope to attend one of your workshops some day. I have hinted to my husband that I would like one of our bird prints for my birthday this year...and am hoping that what i'll get :)
This is just gorgeous! Genine, would you consider doing a tutorial on how to do these types of collages? I am very new to PS and I would love to combine digital/traditional elements to create collages. Hope you will consider doing any old PS tuts for that matter LOL!
