All done! I painted them with acrylic & a coat of matte varnish. It's Daniel's now because he asked me for it...how could I say no to Daniel :) He wants to put it on the window above his desk in the new house.
Will you let us know when and if these will be on your etsy site? I love your work. You'd never know I have a bird phobia from the way I love your work. Thank you for being part of the cure!
For years now my white polymer clay birds have been waiting....I now have the idea and the courage to bring them to life with color....Thanks so much for the inspiration....Again, and again! I am grateful.

Oh another fantastic project! I loved the birds all white but now seeing them painted a la Geninne style I love them even more. How fun to have hanging in a window.
We have just discovered your gorgeous birdies made of STAEDTLER FIMO! We'd love to meet you on our facebook fanpage http://www.facebook.com/STAEDTLER.headquarters ! It would be great if you became a fan, too, and showed your artworks to all other FIMO fans on our page.
Hope to see you soon and best (tweeting) regards from STAEDTLER headquarters in Germany, Yvonne
I even liked your birdies in just plain white - very elegant! - but they are even more gorgeous now that you've painted them.
I used to love Fimo as a kid, and I'm sure it's even better to work with than when I used to play with it 15 years or so ago. Thanks for the reminder - I've been meaning to get some more!!
Please, oh, please make some for the shop!! I'd just love to have some! We just moved into the country and I'm falling in love with birds for the first time in my life - chickens, chickadees, woodpeckers, magpies, red tail hawks, eagles, osprey - and the most darling hummingbirds! And did I mention chipmunks? Not birds, but so cute! ;) I'll be keeping an eye on the shop!!
what a beautiful trio! if you sold these they would "fly" out the door! (sorry ;) couldn't help it) i would love to buy one! as always, your work is amazing & inspiring gennine! xxx
It is so wonderful to see your detailed, beautiful birds created in 3D. What a great idea to use FEMO as your canvas. You were featured on Polymer Clay Daily today too! Congrats! Very inspiring work!! :)
Wow! Those are beautiful. Looks like you had fun with it, too. I look forward to seeing what you are making every day. You are so inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
Oh My Goodness! When I saw the little white birdies I thought to myself "How could these birdies look any more beautiful?!" And now I see that they can! WOW! They are stunning. I love them.
I absolutely love this birdies!!! I spent all sunday sewing birdies with the free pattern you mentioned some time ago. They came out beautiful! I still don't know where to place them ....
WOW! Thank you so much for your sweet comments friends :) I'm so happy you liked them. I wish I had the time to make a whole bunch of these and add them to my shop but I've been so busy lately and they do take a lot of time from start to finish.
Donna: The acrylic paint brand is Mexican and I don't think they sell it outside of Mexico :( You could try Liquitex. It is a really good brand they sell in the US and are easy to find online. Any kind of acrylic paint would work. I bought these because they were very cheap and came in lots of colors.
So beautiful definatly something you should put in the shop when you have time - I expect people would be quite eager to order in avance too. Your work is always brilliant. Helen
You are so inspiring!! Makes me want to get busy busy busy creating :) And I LOVE your birdies on WHITE~ feels like I can reach out and grab them! Beautiful
Hi Geninne, these birds are absolutely darling. I have never seen FIMO painted before.
