Parts 2 & 3
It took me 15 minutes just to color the birdie
so I divided the video in two parts.
Next video will show the detailing of the feathers with acrylic ink.
More information on the materials I used to make this can be found here.

It's so cool to see you work... =) Thank you for sharing!
oh - I am so enjoying watching this bird emerging - this is a lovely thing you are doing - thank you so much!
¡Hola!:

My daughter, age ten, and I watched all your videos this evening and loved them. Beautiful bird.
Geninne, what a treat! Thank you so much for sharing your process. I really enjoyed "looking over your shoulder". Please tell me the music that you had playing. That was really beautiful as well as your work.

Yay! Thanks for sharing your works again Geninne. You really have a amazing brush controlling skill. It comes to me a thought,if you plan ahead on which color to use.I often have difficulty choosing the right colors.

Hello,
I love your site and am thrilled I found it through apartmenttherapy.com and Sophie Munns. I am enjoying the painting videos and it makes me think I can try it a bit :)
I also am enjoying your boys drawings and paintings.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful site.

watching you paint is mesmerizing, and so neat to see the process. i also really like the way that you placed the rocks and stamps as background. a really neat tutorial.
Fantastic....even my husband had commented on the music when I was watching and then later that evening starting humming the tune in Video 2!
Excellent job.

Just Awesome...
Hello Gennine...I love your work...it's "happy" art...I always feel good when I look at it. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! A question...how do you do your birds....do you create them out of your head or do you look at pictures of birds to get them to look just right? I love birds, but I don't find them easy to draw. Yours are just whimsical and wonderful!
inspiring videos, i was so surprised to hear Jan Garbarek;)
ah, it's lovely to watch you work! Thanks for making the video.
And still we dont see your face Geninne!
beautiful!!!
nice works! i love your World.
bye from Tokyo:)
Can't stop coming back for more...Really inspires me!!!
Thank you for your art! You are great artist! I read your blog every day.
So great seeing your work come alive! One question...you paint the background first...your preference or is there an 'art' reason? Thanks again!!
I'm chomping at the bit to see Part 4. My white ink never stands out as much as your brilliant whites do! You do amazing work!
Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoyed watching it. What a cool idea for a blog post . . .
Loved this video, very calming! Made me think I was in the studio painting with you! Thanks for sharing!
I watched both videos at the same time. It was cool to see your hand moving around doing two different things. Quite enjoyable and relaxing. Thanks so much for painting for us.
What a lovely and inspiring video. Thank you for sharing your process. I feel blessed to have found your blog and will be regularly reading, and viewing it. Can't wait to see how your little bird turns out.
Hi - maybe I am having problems but I can see the video with you filling in the details with the acrylic white ink. Video 3 just shows me the painting in of the wings......please dying to see how it all comes together with the final touches. Thanks.
Great! I love seeing people at work...so inspiring! Thanks for posting these vids and I can't wait for the last one in this series!!!
These videos are totally enthralling. I could watch them all day! Thanks for being so generous with your process, Geninne.
This is actually what I needed after buying my first set of watercolors. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Thank you for letting us watch you create. I watched all these tutorials the other day. I love the music as well.
Sorry to be a bug but, when is video #4 coming? Unless I've somehow missed the part where you do the finishing touches with acrylic ink?!
Love the videos. Can't wait for the forth video. I have always had trouble with pen & ink. Thanks,
These videos are great, I can't wait for the 4th one :)
Thanks a lot for inspiring us with your lovely blog and art!
Dear Geninne, whatever happened with the last video? you got me on the edge of my sit :D
Is the 4th video in the series going up soon? Would love to see your detailing in acrylic. Thank you so much for sharing! My husband and I are big fans of Turbo.
Thank you so very much for sharing these! I would really love to know how you are managing to paint the brown of the wings against the orange which is still wet without the colours completely running into each other? Is there a secret I am missing??
Thanks for sharing these, it's wonderful to see you bring that bird to life. One thing I noticed is you don't worry about dipping the brush from one color into another. In fact, you seem to be mixing colors right in the paint boxes :) Since you are creating new colors right there, what happens if you ever needed that original color? May be I am just paranoid about mixing colors in the paint box, I mix in a separate palette...would love to know your thoughts on that.
I especially enjoyed the white ink details video! I have to give that a try, it looked rather watery and I felt I couldn't get that white lines you do. Could be that my paper is too absorbent. Thanks again for sharing these, I loved the music too.
Hi there,
thank you for all your videos and blog. Very helpful to review techniques.
May I ask what your color pallette is and how you set it up in what order? Also, what brand paints?
Thank you,
crystal
