geninne, my moms dog (or my brother) is an over 80 pound huge golden retriever and he does the SAME THING! i've always seen little dogs do it, but it's so funny to see a huge dog do the pancake, too!

I had two dogs that always laid like that! I loved it then, I love it now...so sweet....thanks for posting this!!
He is supper adorable! We used to call that position "bacon legs" with our golden retriever puppies. I'm not sure where the description came from, but it seems fitting and it stuck! It's fun to hear the different names people give to things.

haha... I thought I was the only one who thought puppy butts were especially cute. Glad to know I'm not alone! My dog (http://bethstonestudio.blogspot.com/2009/05/harvey.html) does this too (miniature schnauzer), but we call it "chicken butt" because his legs look like drumsticks! Cute doggie!
