Soccer bird

My 5 year old buddy Mikel is graduating
from pre-school next week,
so I made him this embroidered linen folder cover
so he can show off all of his work in style
on graduation day :)
He is a big soccer fan.

I did the lettering with my alphabet hand carved stamps
and a white ink pad and embroidered the rest.
And I used natural linen
and a striped cotton fabric to do the cover.

Sigh, this is simply beautiful. I still have a book that someone stitched for me when I was a baby so this gift is sure to be treasured.

My daughter just graduated from pre-k too but now I feel like a total slacker! That folder is just beautiful. What a great idea! Much better than the bland old folder I have my daughter's papers in. Hmm. Thanks for the inspiration!
