I bought a small unfinished wooden shutter, covered it with some latex paint I had leftover from my bathroom and then decorated it with some acrylic paints.

That's so smart! I've tried four different systems, but nothing pleases me. This I will try. Thank you so much.

You've been having fun with this week's challenge! How cool (and functional) is this?! Thanks for your comments on my portrait entry ~ it was fun to do and probably about time I paid homage to someone who influenced me so. Great to hear you had similar experiences growing up.
