It's amazing how much fun one can have with water, ink and a few stones. The smooth stones I've been painting were left over from one of Manolo's building projects. He bought them in bulk from a building supply shop & now they're all mine to play with for the next few years :-)
Freshly painted rocks to keep papers from flying away in my studio. The weather is warmer and I love keeping the windows open to let in the fresh breeze. I used acrylic inks and a liner brush.
The Essential Herbal for Natural Health by Holly Bellebuono, published by Roost Books will be released in next month. I drew over 50 illustrations for this lovely book as well as the lavender that was used for the cover.
Another heart made with the Blue Birds fabric from my Alegria collection for Cloud9 Fabrics. Background is beautiful spring poster on linen from Bookhou. The lovely poetry embroidered hearts were made by Cathy Cullis. Polkadot nails, another use for my white acrylic ink ;-)
The winner is: Frances from The Bentley Family blog. Congratulations! Please email me asap with you mailing address. Thank you so much for participating and for all the nice comments!!! I was deeply touched by your response. This new birdie was done this afternoon with watercolors & acrylic ink on gray Saint-Armand cotton paper. 11" x 15" *For those inquiring minds who want to know: Albino Blue Jay Bookhou Storage Box Iceland, an original pencil drawing by Lizzie Stewart
