Two days worth of intense work. Taking a blog break has really payed off
but I really miss you guys. I still have lots of work to do but I just wanted to pop up
now that I'm half way through my little pause and say hello :-)
See you here in less than two weeks!
I sure miss your beautiful posts. Thanks for popping by, a nice surprise this morning! Wilme

It's so nice to see you resurface, even for just a wee bit. I know I've missed your blog posts, but unplugging is great for cranking out work. Good luck on the next leg!

I started following just as you went a way so I feel lucky for this early quick post. Are the herbs for anything in particular?

We miss you too Geninne! It's such a treat, however, to see how much you've accomplished and to get a little glimpse into how you work. Your herbs are super fun!

Lovely! I'm inspired to get out the charcoal pencils!

Your work is such an inspiration. I find blog breaks to be crucial, though you are certainly missed. Look at the magic that comes from them though. WOW- gorgeous!
Two days? I sure hope you meant two weeks - wow!! Fabulous linework, no way could I get that much done in 2 days. I'm inspired :>
I was hoping you wouldn't stay gone a whole month-thanks for the post, Genine.

Unos dibujos preciosos, Genine! Disfruta de tus vacaciones!! Un abrazo ♥
That looks lovely :)
Sometimes it feels great to force yourself to emerge in your work and not think about communication.
That's gorgeous! So happy I snuck a peek to see if perhaps you'd decided to come back early. Glad to hear all the work is coming along nicely!
Beautiful drawings! It's so nice to hear from you!
These are so beautiful. I recently discovered your blog and fell in love with it. It is so inspirational. Your paintings are amazing. I am a new blogger and I hope that one day I can inspire people with my art work just like you do.

Absolutely wonderful - such terrific detail!!
Such perfection! I am amazed by your splendid work!
If you don't mind, I'll love to ask if you use any reference book for your herbs pictures and if so if you have some suggestion about the topic.
Thank you :)
Hello, it's good to read you again. I love your drawing of plants. So beautiful. I keep reading your older posts and enjoying your work little by little. I finished June 2009 yesterday. Thank you for sharing so many good things. All the best
Hi, it's the first time I see your blog and I just wanted to say that it was a big pleasure! Your work is so beautiful, relaxing, inspiring.. I mean "life inspiring", since I am not myself an artist, unfortunately! :)
I hope you don't mind if I add your page to a "favourists list" I am building in my brand new blog!
All the best,
Marina
I haven't commented very often on your blog Gennine, but your absence has made realise how regularly I use your posts as a way to remind me what having a flourishing art practice looks like. I find your attitude to work (not to mention the work itself!) very inspiring. Come to think of it, even this month long break is inspiring! All the best to you from my winter studio to your summer one.
Love these! I love the display, draw them, put them all on the wall so you can see them all. Lovely!

Sometimes, when I am pullings weeds in my garden, I see the beauty there and have to draw the weed!
looks amazing Geninne!
Se me hacía tan extreño no pasear por aqui... pero claro sabía que había un descanso, pero algo me dijo que pasara y justamente posteaste para nosotros! Gracias bella! Animo y fuerzas!
Impressed.
We are missing your posts but we understand! I love the drawings of all the herbs. Last one is very familiar to me right away of course i.e. ginger which I use almost daily. Excellent for health in so many ways. May I ask if you draw from your head or you have some botanical reference?
It will be so much fun when you'll be back! Keep up the good work!
happy to hear about you today! :) chiara
Absolutely wonderful
When you get back, how about a joint blog entry on primitive art? There have been great strides and changes in the art market, especially for tribal art, that your readers would love to hear about!
