Live stump

More experimenting...today I tried using my white acrylic ink
on wood veneer and it worked really great.
I even applied some watercolor
like in the other kraft pieces and it also worked out fine.
I'll be doing some illos on veneer this week
and experiment some more.
I *heart* woodgrain.

This is getting weird...sitting on my counter, right next to the computer, are 7 sheets of woodgrain paper that came in the mail yesterday, because I wanted to do some illustrations on woodgrain. You always seem to get there first, though.

:)

I love the analogy: wood grain - tree stump.
Very cool!

I *heart* woodgrain as well. Can't wait to see more of your work incorporating this look.

BTW, I picked up some white ink yesterday. Looking forward to experimenting with it. You're so inspiring.
